Tourist Drives
There are four main Tourist Drives in Warwick, these include Cedar Route, Sprint Route - Leyburn, Sunflower Route and the Settler's Route. Each drive has its own history and stories. Maps are available for Golden Rain B and B guests, along with history and details of each route.
 
Events
Warwick and district holds over 70 events each year, from dressing up trees in jumpers for the annual Jumpers and Jazz Festival to vintage car racing around the streets of leyburn, there is alway something going on, every weekend. Great Walks of Warwick

Warwick’s great Parklands & Streetscapes are a great place to exercise!  There is a great little fold out map detailing five walks of interest for visitors and residents alike.  Promoting fitness & flexibility this fold out map contains tips for healthy living, safe excercise and notes places of historical & cultural interest. This fold up map is small enough to fit in your pocket but big enough to fit loads of information including; Walking distances, Amenities enroute, Health tips, Heritage, Historic & Natural attractions. Visit Small Country Towns

Why not use Golden Rain B&B as a base for a day or two and vist the little towns in our local area. There is plenty to see and do, so drive round and soak up that country air. Towns include Allora, Dalveen, Killarney, Leyburn, Stanthorpe and Clifton to name a few. On the Gatton-Clifton Road you will also find the Darling Downs Zoo, give that a go!  See www.darlingdownszoo.com.au   

 
Local Wildlife
While relaxing at Golden Rain B&B, try bird watching from the verandah or the garden. The king parrots, red wings, eastern rosellas, blue-eyed honeyeaters and many more are to be seen very regularly all round the garden and orchard. Morgan Park QPWS Reserve is gaining a good reputation for spotting a multitude of bird life and you will also see families of wallabies and kangaroos. The region nearer Killarney has a fascinating native wildlife including the brush-tailed rock wallaby, considered vulnerable to extinction.
 
Check out the Countryside

The Southern Downs & Granite Belt offers the perfect destination for the outdoors. You can explore our national parks, view the wildlife or simply go fishing on Lake Leslie or the Condamine River. There are a number of National Parks all close by:

  • World Heritage listed Main Range National Park 
  • Queen Mary Falls 
  • Girraween National Park 
  • Sundown National Park 
  • Main Range National Park - Goomburra Section
 
Visit our Wineries & Vineyards

The Southern Downs & Granite Belt  hosts over 40 wineries, vineyards and cellar doors, which are complemented by great cuisine, breathtaking views and a laid back lifestlye - offering the perfect break from the day to day.
